Breif History

OneStopPhoneShop is a leading UK mobile phone retailer based in Crewe, Cheshire.
Established in 1995 as an off-the-page reseller, OneStopPhoneShop was one of a group of companies who initially competed for business by taking out daily adverts in national tabloid newspapers such as The Sun and Daily Star. Other companies who followed the same marketing strategy at that time include Dial-a-Phone and E2save.

In 1998 OneStopPhoneShop launched a web site to compete directly with the main web-only mobile phone retailers of the time, Mobileshop and Mobiles.co.uk.
By early 2005 OneStopPhoneShop are believed to have been connecting around 10,000 pay monthly customers every month, prompting The Carphone Warehouse Group to acquire the OneStopPhoneShop business for £15m.

2008 has seen the OSPS business operations move from Crewe to Loughborough to maximise the e2save/carphone warhouse association.
